Ladies and Gentlemen,

Salam sejahtera. A pleasant good evening to all of you.

The 65th Annual General Meeting of the Associated Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) held in the year 2011 will take place tomorrow. The ACCCIM is hosted by the Penang Chinese Chamber of Commerce. This event sees the gathering in Penang of delegates from all over the nation. On behalf of the ACCCIM, I would like to express our utmost gratitude and appreciation to the Penang State Government for their warm reception tonight. I hope that everyone present here will take this opportunity to interact on business opportunities and expand networking.

Penang is famously nicknamed “Pearl of the Orient”. It is both a tourist destination with a vibrant multicultural spirit and a city with a great historical heritage. Penang possesses picturesque sceneries and beautiful sandy beaches, ideal for relaxation. The city is rich in historical and cultural heritage, impressing visitors with serenity and antiquity. Penang is also a world famous attraction for street food, covering of a rich variety of local delicacies. As Penang is renowned for its delicious food, delegates to this conference should not miss this great opportunity to explore and experience Penang for yourselves. You are free to indulge yourself in Penang’s many mouth watering delicacies. I hope all of you will be able to enjoy all the great food and experience a wonderful time in Penang.
