Solicit Feedback on Problems Encountered by Businesses and Proposed Remedial Measures

Tan Sri Datuk Ter Leong Yap, President of The National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) and President of The Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) will be leading leaders of NCCIM Component Members to have a meeting with YB Tengku Dato’ Sri Zafrul Aziz, Minister of Finance to deliberate on problems encountered and pressures faced by businesses, including large corps, mid, SMEs and entrepreneurs during this unprecedented times due to the outbreak of Covid 19 and the Movement Control Order so as to seek remedial measures and assistance from the Government.

ACCCIM Socio-Economic Research Centre (SERC) will prepare a memorandum for submission and consideration by the Government.

ACCCIM Constituent Members and Associate Members are requested to gather the feedback from members by using Template provided as Annex 1. Issues to be raised should clearly state the problems encountered (what is the issue), the context or background of the issue and recommendation on solutions to the problems. Kindly submit the feedback to the ACCCIM Secretariat before 1.00 p.m. on 24th March 2020. ACCCIM Office Bearers and Eminent Members are also encouraged to submit relevant proposals to ACCCIM Secretariat by same deadline.

Following the announcement made by the Malaysian Government’s Movement Control Order on 16th March 2020 to mitigate the spread of Covid-19 virus, ACCCIM Secretariat staffs are working from home on normal working hours from 18th to 31st March 2020.
